Jürg
Rutishauser was born in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, in
1955. He completed extensive studies for organ and piano in
Basel (conservatory and Schola Cantorum), and accomplished
a soloists diploma for organ at Jean-Claude Zehnder. His theoretical
lessons were inspired by the composers Roland Moser and Robert
Suter. Furthermore he participated in organ courses held by
Anton Heiller and L.F. Tagliavini. His versatility can also
be seen in his collaboration in Jazz-Rock formations and Gospel
choirs. Thus, now he can look back onto an extensive concert
activity, as soloist or together with soloists and choirs.
He is regularly studying the piano with John Buttrick in Zürich.
His publications as of today:
- "Saras
Songs", 10 Pieces for Piano (Innovative Music, CH-Mettmenstetten)
- "Phönix, oder Gedanken
zur Auferstehung / Phoenix, or Thoughts about Resurrection",
for Organ solo (Edition Kunzelmann, CH-Adliswil)
